Property Tax Information

Real estate tax is levied by the county, school district, and municipality on real estate owned within their jurisdiction. Each taxing authority will levy a different millage rate and bills are mailed in the spring for county and municipal tax and in the summer for school district tax. This tax may or may not be paid through your mortgage company. Your municipality has a locally elected real estate tax collector who will collect this tax.

Tax Collection Reminders

  • Annual mailing dates for tax bills:
    • County and Municipal Taxes
      • February 15
    • School Taxes
      • July 1 for York Suburban
      • July 15 for Central York
  • If you do not receive your tax bill or if your mailing address has changed, please contact the office immediately.
  • Please check your due dates with each bill.
  • If you have an escrow account, please forward your tax bill to your mortgage company for payment.
  • Drop box is located on the outside wall near the front doors of the municipal complex – NO CASH PAYMENTS.
  • Please bring exact change when paying in cash.
  • When using online bill pay, please allow enough time before due date to send as tax collector goes by postmark. Please make sure parcel is identified on bill pay check.
  • When mailing payment, please allow enough time before due date, as the tax collector goes by the postmark date.
  • Please include a phone number on check payments.
  • For receipts, include a self-addressed stamped envelope or email taxcollector@springettsbury.com.
  • For questions about real estate taxes, please email taxcollector@springettsbury.com.
  • Do not combine tax payments with any other township payment (i.e. sewer). Township is not responsible for delayed payments if your payment is applied to an incorrect department account.
